My Rockstars
From picking up the guitar for the first time to learning their first chord. From learning their first scale to playing their first solo. From playing their favourite songs to composing their own songs. From playing guitar alone in their room to performing in front of an audience. These rockstars are who they are today because they practiced hard and stay true to their passion. Your overflowing enthusiasm is my addiction. My rockstars, I salute you!

Jade is a true student of rock. She was clear from the beginning that she wants to pick up the guitar to play rock songs. She is the biggest Lostprophets fan in the world and being able to play their songs would be a dream come true. Her passion for music helped to make the learning process easier.

Vivian practices the guitar every day just before he leaves for school. The result? He is now able to play so many different styles of music effortlessly.

Sohayl is only 5 years old and the ukulele is as small as him. There is nothing small about his ability though. He is a very talented boy.

Brother and sister with different styles of playing. Ella enjoys strumming and Joe loves to play riffs as fast as his fingers can. This combines to a very fun group lesson!

Caitlin was able to play ‘Party Rock’ within 30 minutes of our first lesson! She is never afraid of learning something new every lesson. Always so positive and always smiling!

Hayley waits for me at the carpark every lesson to ambush me!! She and her ukulele, Splashy, are cheeky and playful but once our lesson begins, she is very serious about learning. She already plays a few of her favourite songs from Frozen!!

Cole has done everything I taught him without any complains. Nothing is too tough for him because he practices regularly. He can already play some of his favourite R&B songs!

Nick is very playful and cheeky! He never ceases to make me laugh every lesson. But he also takes his lessons very seriously. He picks up everything I teach him very quickly and he loves to experiment different things on his guitar. Very Creative. He loves football too!!

Alyssa is a student every teacher dreams to have! She has so much enthusiasm and energy! I enjoy having conversations with her. She is very attentive during lessons and practices regularly. She can already play her favourite pop songs and her school song! I look forward to seeing you perform one day, Alyssa!

Remi is one of the most versatile guitar players I know. From pop to rock, from strumming to fingerstyle, there is nothing he couldn’t do! Most impressive quality of him though is his natural passion for blues music. He plays the blues like a young Eric Clapton! Every lesson is like a mini concert from him!

Mathilde has a natural talent in music. She is learning the guitar at very fast pace. She picks up new skills effortlessly! She is never afraid to learn new chords, new rhythms, new scales and new techniques. She can learn a totally new song and play it by the end of the lesson! Impressive!

Greg is such a fun boy! We are always teasing each other during lessons! He also showed me his sacred Kung Fu moves! He has really impressed me with his level of learning the guitar. We can’t do weekly lessons due to my schedule but within a short period, he can already strum chords and sing! He has a nice voice although his sisters, Amicie and Mathilde, will disagree!

Raphael wants to learn as many songs as he can! And why not? Every song that he has learned, he could already play them by our next lesson! The harder the song, the more motivation he gets. Sometimes, he performs magic tricks for me too!

Tristan always wears a smile on his face! From the start of the lesson to the end, he’s still smiling! He picks up everything that has been taught very quickly and practices regularly too. His progress really amazes me. From pop to classical to blues, he can play any genre!

Noah’s enthusiasm is high! Each week he tells me a song he wants to learn and no matter how difficult the song may seem at first, he always plays it spot on the next the lesson! Very playful yet disciplined to know what to practice each week.

Brodie is very motivated. She wins medals in triathlon and cross-country competitions almost every week! She brings that competitive spirit into learning the guitar and it has worked wonders for her. She’s only 10 years old but is the biggest AC/DC fan I know! She can already play some AC/DC songs! Keep rocking Brodie!

Louise is such a determined student! She is always very specific about her choice of songs to learn. And why not because she will practice and play them till she is perfect! Her determination to learn and play a song from start to end flawlessly is just amazing! She adores horses and I enjoy her singing very much!

Imogen and Oliver are sister and brother who are very competitive and always trying to out-do each other. Imogen can already play her favourite Princess Barbie songs and Oliver loves doing riffs of his favourite pop songs. They can also play a little bit of Spanish music! Sometimes they dance for me too!

Another brother and sister with different style and taste in music. Pras is a natural with rhythm and picks up any strumming pattern with ease while Vas has speed in him to learn and play riffs very quickly. One characteristic they share is their enthusiasm in learning to play the guitar. First ever students to want to learn barre chords after just 1 month of lessons! That’s amazing guys!

Ryan is a very talented chef. He not only creates mouthwatering dishes, but also plays the guitar. Sometimes he makes me chocolate tarts. I heard he is playing somewhere in Dempsey.
